Timer on Lockscreen?

Is there a way to show the active timer notification on the lockscreen? I looked through the notification settings but saw no way to allow all clock notifications on the lockscreen. I don't consider a timer to be sensitive data, so it would be great if it would show on the lockscreen.

Colvdv I use the default AOSP clock and its timer does appear on my lockscreen. Maybe double-check your notification settings for the clock app; specifically check the notification sub-menu. You should see "Timer" listed under the Other heading.

mythodical I checked there several times in my search before my last post. That is an easy place to miss, so thank you for mentioning it.

What other places might I check for any settings interfering with this?

I can confirm that what @mythodical said is correct. I also get a lockscreen notification for the timer using the Clock app that comes with GrapheneOS. It has the notification permission granted to it, and the "timer" notification channel is enabled.

Colvdv the only other place I can think of would be your Do Not Disturb settings. Ensure that your phone isn't in DND mode, or that you're not blocking the visibility of notifications while in DND mode.

You didn't say, but I assume you are also using the default Clock app; if not, your app of choice may have its own settings (or bugs).

@Colvdv make sure that your Clock notifications, and Timer notification sub-menu, aren't set to Minimised either. In addition to collapsing notifications by default, Minimise will also cause the notifications to not be displayed on the lock screen.

DND mode is off, and I have timers set to bypass DND mode anyhow.

I am using the default clock app, yes.

Nothing is set to minimized, though I only see the option under the timer notification sub-menu, and none of the others.

I have played with all sorts of toggles, but for some reason it isn't showing on the lockscreen.

Is there anything in Special App Access that would interfere? That is the only other place that comes to mind where I may have toggled something.

I have the same issue… Using the default clock app. I start a timer and can't see it on the lockscreen. I've double checked all the settings outlines above ☝️

[edit] actually, after restarting my phone, switching the notification settings did actually work. Yay!

vegantiger That's awesome; mine still doesn't work :P I tried what you said you did but still nothing. I imagine one day I will find it working, so I'll be patient until that day comes.

Here we are 4 months later and I finally found the issue :P

While doing something else completely unrelated, I stumbled upon a multiple choice selection in Settings for "Notifications on Lockscreen". It had been set to "Hide slient conversations and notifications" and I changed it to "Show conversations, default, and silent", and now my timer shows up on my lockscreen as expected! Yay!

I love having so many settings that I can get lost in them sometimes!
