copy/moving files between users is ridiculously hard

LOTS of folks having this issue with photos, app data, configs, documents, etc. UNIX begat Linux begat Android hence GrapheneOS all have three legacy directory and file permissions: User, their Groups, and All other users: i.e. "drwxrwxrwx". I get why sandboxing users/profiles is needed, but its been taken too far. We should be able to create at least one directory shared by all users/profiles.

Plugging in a USB drive to copy files is silly. And this "workaround" even requires we unmount and PHYSICALLY REMOVE the drive when switching users!

All could be simply and easily fixed in software.

DeletedUser237 sorry for the delay, doing the simplest things here continues to be so complicated. 🤪

Turns out that I had already installed "Inter Profile Sharing" but struggled with both getting apps to work in multi users, then realizing IPS notification were required to let IPS finish the transfer? Very unexpected... perhaps a walkthrough is posted somewhere that could explain all this? Finally, the downloading in progress indicator in the notification pane never stopped even though the file apparently had arrived? So, good on you that it works, 👍 could be smoother tho.

I'm guessing there is something special about copying FlorisBoard profiles too, no? Can IPS handle that, even if the config is squirreled up in the app specific directories?
