Hi all,
I am relatively new to GOS, running it for about two weeks now on my P9P. My service provider is Deutsche Telekom in Germany, and I have an eSIM. This was easily migrated when I installed GOS.
Later, I found that – somewhat to my surprise – the eSIM support toggle in settings was set to off. I turned it on, which caused the device to reboot. Also, a second eSIM profile appeared (provider is Skylo, which Google seems to use for its new satellite emergency calling service), but was not turned on.
Since, I have used my Pixel for about a week. But when I picked it up this morning, the display showed no mobile service. In settings, I found that my Telekom eSIM was turned off and could not be turned on, only throwing a generic error message.
I then switched off eSIM support, and after the reboot the mobile service was activated as expected. No idea if the reboot or switching off eSIM support did this.
But my actual question is: Has this ever happened to anybody else here? Randomly losing mobile connectivity would be a show stopper for me.
I am on the latest GOS release, only using the Owner profile and having sandboxed Play Services and Play Store installed.
Best wishes,
Thomas
