Idealo and Banking App Barcode scan doesn’t scan/work

Hello,
I have the price comparison app Idealo on Pixel 7 Pro. When I want to scan the item barcode there instead of using text search, the camera opens but nothing happens.

I have already tried to grant the app all permissions.

I have the same problem with the banking app. Strangely enough, scanning with Catima or QR code apps works fine.

What could be the reason for this?

What do you mean by "nothing happens"? Do you only see a black screen, or do you mean you cannot scan a QR code?

I tried myself with the Idealo app on my old Pixel 6 and it worked fine for me. Camera opened and I could scan a QR code.

I cant scan.
It opens the camera, I see everything, I can point to the code but it doesnt "beeb" to collect the information of the the code.

randomi I just tried in another profile with Aurora and it didn't work. Checking in the profile where it did work, it looks like Idealo uses some Google Play thing to scan barcodes, something like this (but I'm not sure if they're using this specific thing or not, to be clear), so I think you need Google Play for it to work. I wouldn't be surprised if the other apps are not working for the same reason.

I wonder how Catima works but Idealo dont.
