Backing up a stock pixel to be restored on GrapheneOS

I have an old stock Pixel phone, and need to trade it in. Before I do, I'd like to back up everything in order to restore on my shiny new Pixel with GrapheneOS.

I searched these forums, but haven't found a definitive guide on the best method to do this. Any suggestions?

djl1fthd0 There isn't a way to backup stock Pixel OS and restore it on GrapheneOS. You'll need to backup your files and apps manually (for apps which offer their own backup solution like Signal and WhatsApp). You'll probably want to write a list of all the apps you use, and then manually install them on your new device.

djl1fthd0 The key issue is that Google's cloud backup code is proprietary, so it isn't available except on their platform (maybe also their commercial partners have it).
