Stinkbug I've been using X/Twitter for years with no problem. Now all of a sudden it requires Google Play to use the app. If there any solution that doesn't require using a web browser to log in?
raccoondad Stinkbug No, except downloading google play services. Assuming its not using the integrity API
KitsuneNoBaka No. Latest update require to be installed from Google Play Store. Had it installed and updated in Aurora Store but that won't work anymore. And it uses play integrity api.
mikma I installed https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/x-corp/twitter/x-previously-twitter-10-84-0-release-0-release/ with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lb.app_manager - It's the last version without GPlay.
mikma KitsuneNoBaka I don't understand what you're meaning... But if you install App Manager with Aurora Store, and download the X 10.84.0-release-0 file from the address, and install the X's split apk with App Manager you are fine. The 10.84.0-release-0 is the last X without the Google Play requirement.
KitsuneNoBaka mikma your link for app manager don't work and one searchable in Aurora is Google play dependent
mikma I am using TrackerControl, and I need to disable the monitoring for the application, and it starts just fine.
mikma Ok, I was incorrect. The App Manager nags about the same Play Store error, but if you try to open the downloaded X apk file, you can select App Manager and it will install X.
KitsuneNoBaka I've deleted X installed from Play Store, installed it again from Aurora, enabled memory DCL and disabled play integrity api and... it works with no complain again.
raccoondad mmdrsmr it requires google play services to be installed, it will appear whenever the integrity api is called as a notification
KitsuneNoBaka mmdrsmr Settings / Applications / "X" app, scroll down to Play integrity API I have set that native code debugging is set automatically whenever it's required. Dynamic code loading via storage had to set manually tho.
memyselfandi I updated to the current version of X via Aurora and Allowed 'Native code debugging' in App info. This made it work properly again.
