Help identify unknown sound/alert

I have Graphene OS installed on my pixel 9 and regularly experience an audible alert which i am so far unable to identify. I can silence it by muting my phone fully but of course i need to still receive alerts on calls and messages.

I have gone through all my user profiles and checked notification history and app notifications, silencing all that appear at the time of the audible alert. Namely i found alerts from F-Droid seemingly coinciding with the sound(s). Yet, fully silencing any notifications and app notifications did not resolve the issue.

The sound is mostly often a combo. It primarily first makes a "shhh" sound and then quickly follows up with a "wee-woo" sound, sort of struggling to really describe the second one. It will occasionally just make the "wee-woo" sound.

I am hoping this sounds familiar to someone who can help me identify how to control this issue.

TJFGPO did you check the notification settings in each third party app?
If not you could do so if you tap and hold on the app icon then/appinfo/notifications. There you could find it.
Also you could check in the general sound settings if you find the sound there.
Settings/sounds&vibration and there default notification sound. If you tap it you'll see all notification sounds your device has. Maybe that brings you closer to your goal to find out what its up to.

I checked the individual app notifications. They appear to share a bank of notification sounds. I went through them and did not find the one/pair I keep hearing off and on. I also looked through the sound setting and came upon the huge list of ringtones used for various sound settings. Alas my alert issue was also not one of the ringtones.

Any other areas to consider?

Apps can have their own custom sounds.

How often does the alarm happen? Would it be possible to disable some apps you have installed, see if it still happens, and if yes, disable some other apps instead, and so on, until you find which app you had to disable to make the alarm stop happening? That could help you find what it is.

I don't recognize the sound you are describing.
