Hi, I am attempting to determine whether I have a bug in the Audi MMI or if there's functionality in the USB exploit protection I am not aware of. I only use the USB connection for Android Auto (AA) so I can keep my VPN on. Every time I connect via USB, I am presented with a privacy policy that I need to accept. A new AA profile is created each time so I have multiple copies of the same phone. Is there a randomized hardware address provided via the USB port similar to the WiFi interface? Or does the wired version of AA still facilitate or attempt to facilitate a peer-to-peer wireless connection and that's what's generating a randomized hardware address making it look like I am connecting a different phone each time?

Or is this potentially a bug in the Audi MMI?

liminal We don't change how USB works beyond whether the port accepts new connections, has data enabled or enabled at all. Nothing more is randomized or anything like that. This is not caused by GrapheneOS changes to USB.
