Using apps downloaded from store now disabled

I downloaded apps via fdroid and aurora store and just learned that GrapheneOS recommends not using those stores for security reasons. Are the apps going to continue working properly, or should I uninstall them and reinstall everything?

Okayhello If you have or can create a Google account, install the Play Store and update the apps from there if Google allows it. I did that and deinstalled/reinstalled the apps the play store told me where installed from somewhere else.

Using Play Store instead of Aurora is recommended time and time again.

My plan was to go with Accrescent for apps as it is recommended by GOS. I would prefer to avoid Google entirely on the owner profile and have a separate profile for anything that truly needs google (store, services, etc.).

Just realized Accrescent does not have many apps :(

There are none, the recommended method is GOS over sandboxed google play.

You can download most open source applications on Github, but you should verify the APK key (assuming you know the key or its in the database) using apkverifier and obtainium for package management

Outside of those two, not many safe ways to get apps.

If I'm not mistaken, aurora store doesn't protect your privacy much compared to the play store, however I also get not wanting to install play services (I don't, I use aurora/separate profile for google services)
