Molly Constantly Using Microphone

I've noticed this a couple of times with Graphene OS and Molly where the icon in the top right indicates that Molly is listening to the mic. Was wondering if any other Graphene OS and Molly users are experiencing these issues. It typically happens after disconnecting from a call and Molly does not seem to ever stop listening.

The bug is in how this is tracked, the app doesn't seem to actually have access to the mic.

That's very strange cause whenever I cycle Molly's microphone permission it goes away. But when I cycle the permissions for other apps that have access to the mic, it stays.

Never mind, I just read the bug report and it appears to show up with any app that uses the mic (Molly in my case is the one that uses it most frequently).

I'm facing the same issue with Signal App and also with Camera app (GFOS one).
I started to notice this behavior very recently, after upgrading from 20250303 to 2025031400.
After restarting my mobile, it seems to be gone (like in this https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/394002077).

WhatsApp was doing this too for me in the last week. It scared me enough that I finally moved to Signal 🤣

Same here, still going on my P7/8 phones. What are some recommended steps? If it's an upstream bug, one would assume it would be widespread. Hopefully others can check whether it still happens. I don't like the idea of not being able to trust what the indicator displays

Bugs can be more or less common regardless of which repository they originate in.

If a bug is in Google's code (which seems to be the case) and it isn't widely reported then maybe it requires very specific circumstances to be triggered.

Are any developer options enabled?
