How to keep my eSim on my phone when transferring?

So, I have plans to switch the OS on my Pixel 7 Pro to Graphene, is there any way to keep my eSim data on my device when switching OSes or am I going to have to go into my service provider's store to handle this?

JamesTDG Though I have not done this, I believe that if you don't explicitly delete the eSIM then it will remain.

I factory re set my phone every installation of the updated OS release, I don't select delete eSIM and both my eSIMs have remained after at least 10-15 resets and work normally. Having said that, a factory re set versus a complete OS deletion and install of another OS is something quite different I would assume.

The initial install will be performed by flashing the factory images. This will replace the existing OS installation and wipe all the existing data".**
Again, I assume the eSIM will be deleted and a new QR code required.

By default, GrapheneOS has always shipped with baseline support for eSIM, where users can use any eSIMs installed previously on the device.

I also read that, but not having changed from Stock Pixel OS with an eSIM to GrapheneOS, its hardly a claim I can use, have you personal experience in doing so.

The claim is true. I've flashed from stock to GrapheneOS multiple times without my eSIM being wiped. Worked fine. Note that eSIMs are stored on a dedicated chip called eUICC, and there's no reason for a flashing process to wipe it anyway. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESIM

I've read this information on this forum before. But yes maybe a moderator could add something on the FAQ, like @matchboxbananasynergy comments to be more explicit.

Hat It would be great to see this mentioned on the FAQ, since I think many other pixel users would be just as wary as me when planning to switch OSes.
