Probably not a popular topic, but I have to use Bluetooth tethering (or Wi-Fi) to have my car accessing the Internet. Before Google killed the possibility to switch the tethering via software, I used to have a nice Tasker profile which took care to enable it when the phone sensed it was Bluetooth-connected to the car, and do the opposite on leaving the car.
As written, it is my understanding that the above cannot be done nowadays, so I decided to leave the tethering enabled because, frankly, 70% of the times I forget to switch it on, and the not-so-brilliant software of my Toyota is not smart enough to recover from a failed connection if I enable the tethering after a while. Yes, I know this is not good for security.
My issue is that with the frequent GrapheneOS updates, I have to re-enable the tethering after every reboot. I don't know if it is so by design, but I don't understand why this user preference is not retained on reboots. Eventually, could it be a GrapheneOS (developer menu only?) specific option?
Thanks!
