Osmand plus not installable in non-Google profile

I am setting up a Pixel 8a with the main user being Google-free, a second profile has the gplay services installed for Android Auto and apps that require the Google services.

One of these apps is Osmand plus. It is working okay in that second profile. I now attempted to install the F-droid 'Osmand~' version in the main profile. This is failing because it detects the installed Osmand plus, although that is in the secondary profile only.

Next attempt was to install Osmand plus from Aurora, but despite being logged in with my Google ID my purchase is not recognized in the store.

Is there any way to get Osmand to run in both profiles?

Miq19 You can only have one copy of an app, if you plan to have same app in multiple profiles, it would be better to use main profile as "install source" for other profiles and have all sources there and push apps to secondary profiles.

I was afraid that would be the case. It would mean I will be forced to have the gplay stuff in my main profile and always will have to switch profiles to get into the free user I will be using most. Not the best solution for me...

explains how to migrate apps to other secondary profiles or your owner profile.
Your Google profile will keep these apps updated on the entire phone,
and you can keep your owner profile google free.
(mind the implications... apps that depend on google play services...)
