Hello,

I am trying to de-oligarch as much as possible so I put GrapheneOS on my used Pixel 6. The installation was very easy and for the most part I am having no issues. Unfortunately, my local transit app for buses and trains (Maryland's Charmpass app) does not run. I tried installing the sandboxed version of google services from the GrapheneOS app store but it still just keeps crashing.

I don't have a car so I need that app to get around. I am reasonably computer savvy, but not very Android savvy. I'm not even sure I could restore my phone's old OS even if I wanted to. Can anyone suggest anything else I can try to get this app working, or am I out of luck? Thanks in advance for any help!

ubai Play needs to be installed before apps that use it, so try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Also try turning off various exploit protection options for the app (press and hold the app icon, then pick "App info").

Thank you so much! I did install Charm Pass from the Play Store, but I didn't know about the long press to get to the app's settings. I got it working after changing some permissions! :)

ubai Thanks for reporting back! Which permissions?

I turned on "exploit compatibility protection mode" and I think that is what fixed it. Thanks again!
