I have sandboxed GPS installed from gos app store in a 2nd/3rd user profile with an active gmail account.
I have 2 similar use cases, that will be in separate user profiles but similar setup. One for social media and one for medical apps / portals; both very invasive but the separation will help until I find a better solution.
1- Any app I try to install from Play store says its an unknown app. I read the docs and must have missed the answer. Why are play store apps coming up as unknown?
Store Settings has enabled network, and sensors came with it.
Services settings is unrestricted battery and network.
Owner profile user setting has enabled all installations and update for the profiles.
Is store also needing install unknown apps or was something else missed? Installs work with it toggled on but I'm so used to it being a no.
2- Can you weigh in on the risk level with VPN, separate users, per user profile sanboxed play, sending notifications to other profiles, keeping identities separate in this way? They're not meant to be anonymous, but I'd like to limit the free data from them and them being connected to the searches in the other profiles and other phone activities.
I'm working on detangling it all from gmail address but its going to take time, but gmail only knows the apps used. I'm concerned about the verbose notifications and doubtful that the apps are considerate of privacy and use push notifications correctly.
Notifications do not go to the gmail address, and I dont do SSO. But does Google Play Servicea see the data in the notifications if the apps set it up wrong? Would it get worse if enabling notification snooze? Or notifications history?
I'm trying to learn, and appreciate the patience and explanations.
