Hello,
I searched the forum and internet but didn't find a similar issue.
I have a Renault Arkana, the Easylink multimedia system is updated to its latest version. It only supports Android Auto via USB. I was able to connect my Pixel 8a Android Auto to the car when I was still using Google's stock ROM.
I have just installed GrapheneOS to my phone + Android Auto from the GrapheneOS App sore + the sandbox Google Play + Google Maps + enabled all permissions at Sandboxed Google Play > Android Auto.
When I first plug the phone it asks me if I want to install Android Auto, I click "Yes" and then almost immediately it tells me that the car should be parked for a first install.
Yet the phone tells me that Android auto is connected to the car, and the car Multimedia system displays a button "Android Auto" but when I click on it displays the same error.
I obviously attempted many times while the car was parked, motor stopped or running etc.
Over time I also:
- enabled the Exploit protection Compatibility mode
- gave all possible permissions to the app from Android Auto App Info but the agenda
- installed google App
But it didn't change anything to the error.
I don't know if it matters but when I go to check the Bluetooth connected devices, I can see:
- an entry for "Pixel 8a" with active icons for the music for calls
- an entry for "Google Pixel 8a" and the active "Android Auto" icon, but music and calls are greyed out
Any idea of what I could have been missing here?
GrapheneOS doesn't display any crash related error log has it has for other issues (e.g Bluetooth crashing when I was doing something I don't remember what). Any logs I can specifically check for? Any log I could possibly upload here, and if so how do I get it?
Thanks
