Are SIM contacts accessible to every profile?

Calls are received cross-profile, meaning every profile has the ability to accept calls. Profiles have separate contact storage so a contact may not be present in a profile when receiving a call, so the contact name is not displayed when receiving the call.

How are SIM contacts accessible to user profiles? If I put all my contacts on my SIM will all profiles be able to read and display caller names etc.?

Last time I checked, newer Android versions (with some exceptions like Samsung) can't read or write contacts from/to SIM cards. There is only the possibility of importing SIM contacts, though I'm not sure if it also exists on GrapheneOS.
