I assume this means the app is checking if the phone/OS is getting a suitable verdict from Play Integrity. You can try blocking the Play Integrity API from the app settings to see if it works then, but if it doesn't there's not much that can be done.
Edit: You can send your bank this article on how to use hardware attestation to verify the device is running unmodified GrapheneOS. Play Integrity is less about security and more about furthering Google's business interests. That much is obvious considering old, out of date phones can pass Play Integrity. It doesn't make much sense that apps would refuse to work on an objectively very secure OS just because the OS hasn't been certified by Google.
