IamDaedalus Hey there. Thanks for reaching out.
I had some time to do some testing on a Pixel 6, and was unable to reproduce this.
What I tested:
- Signal call while mic access was off while I had my bluetooth headphones connected. They couldn't hear me unless I toggled on the microphone quick tile. Works as expected
- Regular carrier call. Same thing, they would only be able to hear me when the microphone quick tile was enabled.
In both cases, I started the call with the microphone quick tile being disabled.
Theory: If this is nothing something that's specific to your model and hence why I cannot reproduce it, here's what I think may have happened. Do you use multiple profiles?
I noticed that while the microphone/camera quick tiles may be disabled on one profile, they can be enabled on another. In other words, it seems that these quick tiles can be enabled/disabled per profile. It sounds to me that the profile in which the call was taking place had the microphone quick tile toggled on, while the profile in which you were looking at had the toggle off.
Please let me know if this is not the case, or if you don't use multiple profiles at all. In that case, I would appreciate if you could go into more detail about exactly happened and what steps you took so that someone with your model could try to reproduce this.
So far, from me, it sounds like user error, and not a bug (but that's just my initial assessment).
