Hello everyone,

I realize this is probably somewhere but I could not find it using the search. I am trying to find a way to keep my contacts when I install graphene. I see talk of a .vcf file but can find no way that doesn't mean paying for an app to do it. There is also using google but my searches again failed me. Wow, I'm only 40 am I really getting that bad?

Also from start to finish what's a ballpark for install time?

Save your contacts to a USB stick, simplest way.

It took me 30-40 minutes to install GrapheneOS the first time. I read and re read, everything, before committing. Worked first time, no problems at all.

There are other solutions but if you want to have your contacts locally, you can export them from your old phone as a .vcf file.

Then copy them to your GrapheneOS phone using a USB cable for example.

You can simply use the pre-installed "Contacts" app to import them: Open this app, then in the hamburger menu (three dashes top left)> Settings> Import> Import .vcf fileand navigate to the location of the file with your exported contacts and then import them to the Contacts app.

I looked and under that menu there was no import. I even went to settings no import or anything like that. Pixel with android 15.

Scratch that. I realized I was viewing my contacts through the phone app not the contacts app. After digging through there I finally found it. Thank you everyone!
