I had a couple of apps installed on GrapheneOS which I used without problems.
I unistalled them a couple of days ago for security reasons (banking apps and email) on my pixel (using the Play Store) and now I cannot install them anymore. The Play Store lets me download them but then the installing process doesn't go through, and no "Do you want to Install this app?" pop-up appears.
Is there anything I can do?
Thanks

Just a guess:

Do you have these Apps in a user profile (not in the owner profile)? And if so: Is the following deactivated: Settings> System> Users> Profile causing problems> App installs & updates?

If so: End the user profile with end session, set the above mentioned setting to enabled for the corresponding profile, restart the profile and try to install these apps again.

ok, I think I fixed it. I uninstalled the Play Store and installed it again. It asked me permission to download unknown apps. It didn't work while allowing it through the settings

Not true, I didn't fix it, the first app installed ok, the second app did the same "Couldn't install app" message. No pop-up this time.

Any tips on how to use the Play Store without having to uninstall it and install it again before downloading each app?

I've the same issue. worked fine for months and months until couple weeks ago, inside sandboxed profile, don't think I changed anything myself, but auto updates and auto remove permissions seem to be enabled by default. Can install updates fine, cannot install new apps. No popup for install, only 'Installing...' followed long after by popup 'can't install {app} see common ways to resolve this blah blah' however there is a gmscompat notification (not popup) upon installing the app 'Action required in play store' clicking on it just pulls up google play store.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

I'm trying to install the Facebook app through the Play Store and I'm getting the "Can't install Facebook" error.

It's good to know I'm not the only one facing this. Hopefully, someone has a solution we can both try.
