5G & VoLTE Unavailable In Authorised Country

Recently Google Officially Authorised My Country And Licensed 5G & VoLTE on Nationwide Carriers Using March Security Update (aka QPR 2.0 beta)

problem is after that update, my phone menu never got VoLTE funtion and no 5G Accessibility at all.

-ive got 5G enabled on sim and also on esim
-both carriers have 5G Coverage in my area

Basically this update never got me what it was promised by google, is there anything i can do or graphene can do to solve the issue? Thx in advance

*for VoLTE im tired of shizuku on every update

I doubt Google promised that GrapheneOS devices would see any feature changes! Especially not based on a beta release of Google's OS!

If/when Google releases the appropriate carrier settings to production devices (not to voluntary beta users) there is a fair chance that GrapheneOS will pick up the changes.

I think it might make sense to file an issue on the GrapheneOS issue tracker once 5G and VoLTE have been completely rolled out. It would probably be good to include a press release in the issue filing, and to verify that 5G and VoLTE work on a P7P (not some newer model) running Google's stock OS, and to mention that verification in the filed issue.

I would recommend against filing an issue before the rollout is complete. If somebody sees the issue and triages it as "not yet" that might slow it down, versus filing when the issue is immediately actionable.

Rookie (aka QPR 2.0 beta)

Upstream QPR2 has been released and the developers are working on the GrapheneOS update now.

I don't know how this works exactly, but I'm assuming that the update you're looking for is in the carrier configs, not the OS. I believe these are separate things, or at least they do appear to be in GrapheneOS release notes, like in this one: https://grapheneos.org/releases#2024120900

I don't know if the next release will have the same kind of update, but based on the "Android 15 QPR1" part of the quoted line above, I think it's likely we will have a carrier settings update soon. Assuming support was added as you say it was, I would expect it'll start working for you when the update comes through.

Note that the change I pointed out above wasn't part of the first update after QPR1 was released. I don't see why it would be any different with the upcoming QPR2 release.

That said, I want to say again that I don't know how this works exactly, but hopefully I've understood all this correctly and it'll be working soon.

Note* VoLTE is not even showing up in Menu where its supposed to be (also it never was there)

other8026 when it comes to carriers, both operators have 5G Coverage in my area plus Pixel Devices Supported Starting From Pixel 7, Mines 7 Pro so im under every coverage area

if team still working on adapting QPR 2.0, I Guess That Might Be It, Probably will see VoLTE and 5G when they are done working, at least thats my assumption, thank you
