Better SMS program than stock

I have Signal for talking to a select few folks, but whats out there for decent texting apps? I dont love the stock Messages program in GOS, as I have issues with texts being sent and delivered (showing as such in both cases, but never actually sending)?

I am sure there is something better out there?

I know it unpopular but with RCS being deployed for iPhone Google messages is great

Fossify Messages. It helped me because messages did not go through in secondary profiles.

metalsped It stands for rich communication service. It's an upgraded protocol from MMS and SMS.

RCS has been dropped in my country. There is not one RCS but different flavours and different versions. None of them has end to end encryption. Thus I don't think this will be the next big thing.

Fossify is a solid choice, quik has not been updated in ages last time I checked, so not really recommended.

But the GOS stock SMS app is undergoing some major modernization and has received its first updates in that regard last month. If you switch to another app, you should check out the stock SMS app from time to time if it has improved to your liking.

Not sure what you consider 'ages' but it is actively developed. Last release is from last week.

DeletedUser237 My mistake, apologies. I have confused the QUIK app with QKSMS, which was once good but then abandoned. Seems like QUIK is the spiritual successor to QKSMS.
