8 pool asks for custom ROM and crashes

Hi, I am using 8 pool (a game) since ages on GOS. With their latest update, the app crashes during startup. I can see only shortly an error message which tells me: unlocked boot loader or custom ROM detected. I am wondering of I can do something on this? My favourite game isn't working any more 😮‍💨

androidin If its using the Play Integrity API, you can install sandboxed google play, then attempt to block it. If it doesn't work, then you can't use the application anymore.

raccoondad how exactly can I block this? In the play services? Or in the play store? In both I can't find anything to block in the Android settings Menu...

androidin Play services, a pop up shows if Integrity API is used. If the app detects its blocked, it will still fail, it might not make the app work.

There is a very real chance the app just cannot be used, sorry. Contact the devs of the application and complain
