Hey, so I've seen a couple posts about this but they all ultimately go nowhere. I was gonna leave it at that and just settle on remembering to close Spotify when I'm done listening, and just deal with the low battery when I don't.
However something really frustrating happened today. My phone rung in class so I slipped it in my backpack, and about 20 minutes later when I fished it out it was nearly too hot to touch and had shut itself down. When I turned it back on, there was still about 20% battery left (and obviously Spotify was reported as the highest energy draw), but on top of that, I guess the heat was so intense and prolonged that a small crack in the glass that was invisible on the top left of my display suddenly had a decently sized splotch of dead pixels under it.
I know I installed grapheneOS at my own risk, and I accept that. That being said, can we take a bit of a closer look at this Spotify issue? I don't want to switch to a different service for many reasons, and besides that there's clearly some kind of issue that causes Spotify to continue running even if you strictly set it to not run in the background. I really don't want something like this to happen again.
I'm not going to really bother taking pictures or screenshots, unless I'm asked to in which case of course I'll provide some. Thanks
