I use pixel 6, latest stable release, and using mobile network battery drains at about 8%/hour while listening to some long videos with screen turned off (tubular, if this is important). When i turn to wifi, battery usage drops to 3%/hour. Preferred network type is LTE only, someone proposed turning off automatic network selection in sim settings, didn't help. It seems wrong, did someone have same problems?
Battery drain using mobile network
In that "old" phone the battery age could be an issue in my opinion. However, would you mind to share how am I going to find the battery usage? It must be something stupid in the settings but I couldn't find it when I tried. I've been listening a podcast during my drive from work to home and I feel the battery drain is quite significant when not on Wi-Fi also.
lemonmannutsball In general cellular uses more 'power' than WiFi, so i think this might be expected behavior in that sense. I'm not sure what modem pixel 6 uses, but there are also differences in efficiencies in modems, it could be that for examole the moden in pixel 6 is less effecient than in a pixel 9.
I suppose there's nothing wrong here and normal behavior, though this could be manifested more if the battery is losing capacity aswell, in the sense that u will notice those differences more.
