Nerv I understand that this likely doesn't matter to you since you seem to be here to blow off some steam rather than try to advocate for something being prioritized over something else, but this is not the way to have your voice be heard and to change the team's priorities.
Which of the latest major features of GrapheneOS such as the USB-C port feature that's preventing real-life exploits, the 2FA feature allowing for using much longer passphrases without compromising on convenience, etc. do you think should have been deprioritized in order to work on this old upstream bug which has a known workaround?
This kind of "outrage" isn't going to result in what you want to be prioritized to be so, it's just going to distract the team from their work. You could have led with a question about whether anyone knows about a potential workaround, you could have asked if there are any near-term plans for this upstream bug to be addressed by GrapheneOS soon, you could have even asked whether someone is actively working on it as we speak. Instead, you decided to "rant" about how you think this open source project that's delivering an OS that's protecting people should allocate its limited time and resources.
I sincerely hope you can reconsider your approach in the future.
P.S. This is not an invitation for you to debate this or continue "ranting" about how you think what is important to you should be prioritized. It's a humble request for you to reconsider your approach towards open source projects and express yourself in a more productive way in the future.
