Media player state gets lost

After I played media and paused for some time, state gets lost. I have to manually remember where I paused because at resume the track always is ended or state lost. This is among all media player apps. Is there some setting I can change or doother users have this issue?

TrustExecutor It sounds like an issue with the specific apps you're using. After not using them for a while, they're getting asked to save the state by the OS and are then getting killed eventually to make room for other apps. They're supposed to save and restore their state.

I was suspecting that but I have not seen other users say anything about it even though it's quite a bit of an inconvenience. What makes me think it's a setting or similar is because it is all apps I tried including latest official VLC and also NewPipe which both have a lsrge user base. Browser playback also has the same issues.
