Again, if the "entity" has access to cellular-carrier network internals/records and/or is close enough to your device to see it communicate with cell towers, that entity probably doesn't need text messages. And if the entity doesn't have that sort of access, mere delivery of text messages won't reveal much about location.
K8y Regarding blocking unwanted & unknown texts, I guess sadly there's nothing to counter the numerous fake google account phone numbers they could infinitively create to avoid single blockings. This is especially sad if women have stalkers doing this to them.
It is possible to configure a messaging app so that it will ignore messages from unknown senders, meaning that it won't alert the user when such a message is received.
Unfortunately, people dealing with stalkers probably should get advice from local abuse experts and/or attorneys who are familiar with the local legal environment and local support resources. And as mythodical writes, changing one's phone number may be a useful step (though it is disruptive).
