Title explains it all. (This specifically on videos).. Not urgent just annoying. Anyone else experiencing this?

It would be helpful if you could give as many details as possible about the errors.

For example device type, buiid number, version numbers of the camera apps, image resolution and frame rate would definitely be helpful.

A few more, incomplete ideas that come to mind spontaneously:

  • Did the recording run flawlessly before and was there possibly a triggering event (did you drop your phone, was there a relevant update, etc.)?

  • Have you tried to change image resolution and framerate and if so with what result?

  • Is the frame rate immediately low or drops it after a certain time?

  • Does it stutter during recording or (also during playback)?

  • Have you played the test videos on another device (laptop, other cell phone) and with what result?

  • How much free memory do you have on your phone?

  • Does the phone get very hot when filming?

  • Are you filming at high ambient temperatures (e.g. are you filming in the blazing sun)?

  • Did you reboot your phone?

  • Did you clear app storage/cache? (Long press camera app icon> App info> Storage & cache)

I just did some test shots, on my setup it works flawlessly (both GrapheneOS Camera and Google Pixel camera in both UHD and FHD).

For people being able to read log files (I'm not) - these log files may be helpful as well: After error occured long press camera app icon> App info> View logs

(I'm not sure if the logs may contain sensitive informations and if you want to publish them - but it would be helpful).
