GrapheneOS If I set "5G only" on my Pixel 6a from a carrier in my country that does not support 5G, specifically from Pixels that aren't supported, will this get over the restriction?

[WARNING] Just Killed my P9P XL by installing this update. Sending this from my laptop as phone displays "Cannot load Android. Your data may be corrupt".

So I installed the Alpha update as per normal, it installed and provided the "reboot" prompt. On reboot it asked for my PIN which I entered. Screen then went black. After a few seconds it displayed the Graphene Recover screen with red test warning (Cannot load Android. Your data may be corrupt.......) and options to Try Again OR Factory Data Reset.

I tried the Try Again option. The phone started again, briefly showing normal message re installing alt OS, then short Google Logo flash screen, then 0.1 sec of GOS logo, and switches to Graphene Recover screen with red test warning (as above) and options to Try Again OR Factory Data Reset.

I have tried the Try Again option three times, all end at this same point!!

VAULT It could be a hardware failure which correlated with installing an OS update.

VAULT Seems consistent with entering a duress pin, have you tried factory resetting it?

VAULT That appears to be a hardware failure. Updates are fully validating by reading the data from the firmware and OS images prior to them being activated for booting into them, so it could read the data but now it appears that it can't. You should boot the device into recovery and sideload an equal or greater version as an update package. It sounds more like you have corruption of data rather than the OS, unfortunately, so sideloading probably won't work but is worth a try.

Post title seems a bit disingenuous when you have already gotten an official response clearly refuting the update being the cause.

Thanks for the update!
2025022800 seems to work well on the Pixel 7 and Pixel Tablet.
I exclusively use WiFi on these devices, therefore I did not test mobile connectivity (I don't have a SIM card) nor do I use Google Services.

I just flashed the Pixel 6a also with 2025022800, it seems to work fine as well.
I did not test WiFi nor mobile connectivity. (I use and flash this device completely offline)
I also don't have Google Services installed on this device, so I could not test this as well.

Has there been a roll-back of 2025022800 ? I don't see it available for download, not even in alpha, P8 here.

UPDATE: I see that 2025030100 has been released into alapha.

locked There isn't room on the update servers for 3 releases at the moment so we have to remove the most recent release when we're replacing it with another and it didn't reach the Stable channel. The new release is now available in Alpha:
