x3bx3b The phone was probably trying to get a signal in the can with maximum power and broke due to overloading.
Heads up, this isn't a real thing.
Your charging issue is likely due to something else.
Perhaps its possible that some metal filings or other contamination inside the can got inside your charging port?
You can test this by attempting to use a wireless charger.
Might also be worth cleaning out the port carefully with a small brush or a thin sewing pin.
Could also try switching cables / chargers to rule that out.
For convenience, you can try getting what is called a "Faraday bag" from your favorite online retail store. Its a little cloth bag that blocks signal to the phone. More convenient form factor than a tin can.
People use Faraday bags all the time and never experience any issues like the "overloading" described.
