Rubberduckzilla Hi there.
Let's go through each point one-by-one:
Rubberduckzilla The camera APP is extremely basic and the superzoom feature of the p7 phones which is awesome is completley gone.
It is completely possible to install Google Camera on GrapheneOS. This is documented here:
Personally, I find the GrapheneOS Camera app to be perfectly fine, but if you need the features that Google Camera offers, you only need GSF and Google Camera, and network can be denied to both.
Rubberduckzilla Also the gallery does not let you mark favourite photos.
Similarly, it is also possible to install Google Photos and have the same exact experience that you'd have on Stock OS. It works fine.
The current gallery app is the AOSP Gallery app. The plan is to eventually replace it with one made specifically for GrapheneOS. There is a candidate in development which may or may not be adopted in the future, but it's too early to tell.
Rubberduckzilla So I have to say my firs timpressions are a bit bad so far, theres only anoption for 60 and 90hz on my p7 pro, 120hz is gone and so is the LTPO adaptive refresh rate where it can ooperate between 10-120hz by the looks of things
It is possible that these options are not part of AOSP, but only part of Stock OS. I'm not 100% sure here, so I'll do some more research or wait for someone else in the community to weigh in.
Rubberduckzilla All the icons are colourless.
The colors of the default apps are just the icons that GrapheneOS chose. Just like another app may choose a colorful icon, GrapheneOS has chosen a unified black and white theme for its apps.
That said, it is possible to enable themed icons by long-pressing on the homescreen, tapping on "Wallpaper & Style" and then enabling the "Themed Icons" toggle. The only per-installed app that currently doesn't have an icon that can be themed is the "Apps" app, however the feature has already been added, it's just a matter of a new release of "Apps" coming out.
I hope I've answered some of your concerns. I would suggest reading through the documentation on the website if you haven't already to get a better idea about the areas that GrapheneOS excels at. /features, /usage and /faq are a great place to start.
