Unable to get

My pixel is recently not showing any notifications for messages (the google text messaging app).

Email notification work fine if I have them turned on. Phone calls work as well, and give notifications. It's just messages that don't give notifications. When I look into the settings, everything notification related appears to be are turned on.

Ideas?

kd92jew Are you referring to the GrapheneOS Messaging app or the Google Messages app? It's not clear. Is this in the Owner user or a secondary user? Did you try resetting carrier settings via that option in Settings > System > Reset already? You could also try without Wi-Fi calling/texting enabled, which you could do without changing the setting for it by trying without Wi-Fi connected.

I believe this happened after the OS update about 12 hours ago.

hakayova No, it's not related to the OS update.

It might be a different issue. I haven't been getting notifications for a while, maybe a month or so. I mostly don't care, but there are times when I really need that ping.
And I can see the message fine, but I have to open up the message app, and look at the most recent message.

Thanks for the reply. This is the Google messaging app. I'm the owner user.

I just tried the Settings > System > Reset, no luck, messages still aren't showing. Also tried turning off wifi, and then getting a text, still no notifications.

I switched the messaging app to the built in Graphene one, and it DOES show up the notification dot. AND it makes the notification sound.

Switch back to the google message app, and nothing. The only reason I use the google message app is that it does the pairing thing, so I can reply to text messages from my laptop.
