Hi all

In recently installed GOS and am loving it. I've been reading forums and wiki's until my eyes hurt but I am hoping to get some clarification before I go too far down the rabbit hole.

I am currently using the owner profile to only have various all stores installed. I will install an app from any one of these sources, push to the profile I want that app being used in, and then I will uninstall the app from the owner profile (but not the app store itself obviously)

My question is if the apps that run in the other profiles will continue to get updated, or do I need to leave any installed apps also installed on the owner profile to keep them updated?

I was going to test over the next few weeks but figured in would ask first. Thanks all!

smash0573 if you disable the apps instead of deleting them, they will get updated

With your setup (owner profile for app installation), yes you will need the app installed in owner (but can be disabled like other user said). Profiles are isolated and so if you uninstall the app from owner it would not be able to see or manage apps in another profile. The only reason updating in one profile affects other profiles is because downgrade protection prevents older versions of an app from existing than what's already on your device.

Thanks a bunch to you both. Clears it up nicely
