Hello,
So I've searched most if not all topics from here, from reddit, etc, somehow I cannot seem to fix this.
I don't want to re-flash and restore, since this is my phone with a LOT of stuff on it, and the backup and restore solution was wonky last time, I'd like to avoid it as much as possible.

I've been having this issue for months now. Things I've tried.
I've unrolled from beta.
I uninstalled signal (restored from backup).
I've checked all toggles in notifications.
I've checked all permissions and special app access (even temporarily enabled scren turn-on access control for google play services).
I made sure the full screen notification is enabled in signal app and in general > notifications on lock screen - set on the first option.

I'm an old GOS user, since the P6 generation, so most of the settings I know and I usually read the changelog with every update. But this, I cannot solve.

Every call is ringing/vibrating but it's not shown in full screen, and I need to unlock the phone and swipe down the notification area to see the caller and answer/deny.
It's tiresome. Help please.

Most likely you already did it, but just in case - double-check the Full-screen notifications settings in Settings >> Apps >> Special app access.
Did you try the Signal fork Molly?

Thanks, I do have it turned on.

But something is definitely not working as intended, as it doesn't seem to matter if the toggle is on/off, the same behaviour is displayed, the call is not full screen, the phone is ringing, but I need to unlock, go to notification pull down bar, then answer.

So, somehow, the toggle ON is not registered and the phone sees this option as OFF.

And no, I did not try molly, I have a big signal backup (around 35 gb) which I wouldn't want to lose. Unless there are interchangeable?
I've known molly for many years :)
Thanks for the suggestion.

Also, unless something changed recently, my play services work only with network and notifications allowed.
Actually I also enabled the nearby devices since I got my watch.
Would it require more permissions? Unlikely, since my WhatsApp is behaving normally, as opposed to signal, which I use 99% of the time :(

As seen here maybe it's related to some restricted permissions of play services after all.
I need to test more, but signal has been working fine for years for me.
Unless something changed recently.
Will update with my findings.

Forgot to update, the issue has been resolved with an update last week. It was a signal related issue, not GOS related.
