This is not a Linux group, this is an unofficial GrapheneOS group, I am a member and can confirm it.

Stewart If we're in the same group, I can see your nickname, avatar, safety number, shared groups and linked devices if, for example, you've linked the Signal app to your desktop, tablet etc. I can't see your phone number, whether you're online or offline, your last connection, how long you've been connected etc. I can't see anything sensitive, unless you share sensitive stuff.

Maybe one of the forum members might be willing to create and lead a separate group on all things GrapheneOS. Would be interested to take part in such thing. English language of course preferred.

Perhaps it is also possible to do this on Signal. Someone who knows better could confirm or deny this. I have never looked into it because I have never considered an avatar to be something sensitive that must necessarily be private. On this forum, I also have an avatar and everyone can see it. On WhatsApp, you share a lot of metadata, unlike Signal.
