Pixel 6a randomly reboots

My Pixel 6a is randomly rebooting since 2025012700 was released. This happened with another build in the past few weeks, too. (And these random reboots were then solved by newer builds.)

The only discernible pattern is that it happens when the phone is not actively in use. It can restart, though, briefly after having just used the phone. Sometimes it happens a few minutes after the last use.

The reboot options window does not appear; so I do not think it is anything physically pressing upon the power button.

pixealted The device does unexpectedly reboot in use now. No phone case, either. (In case anyone entertaining the hypothesis that it is a physical issue of the power button being pressed.)

pixealted This sounds consistent with a hardware problem. You might want to seek advice from a local repair shop. If you are willing to destroy your data, you might try a factory reset and/or flashing back to the stock OS to see if it still crashes. But first I'd suggest turning OEM unlock on, then backing up your data.
