I had about 20 shortcuts to webpages/apps on my home screen that I lost after the last update. And in addition to that, Android Auto has developed a persistent "Looking for Android Auto" notification that is simply impossible to remove.

Is this a known issue?

Not for me at least. I have kind of the same setup so its not a general error

NetRunner88 mine continues to remove my shortcuts after restarts. So frustrating.

Talcum0094 There's an upstream Android issue causing this for many years. We solved the similar issue for widgets but haven't solved it for shortcuts including PWAs yet. It doesn't impact the way Chrome does PWAs since it generates an actual APK from them through a Google service instead of making a shortcut.

    3 months later

Having the exact same thing for the third time now. I stopped making PWA's for websites as it is a bit tiring to see they are all gone every time. In stead I use Vanadiums mobile bookmarks widget. Unfortunately the bookmarks are in alphabetical order when viewing them in Vanadium but in the widget they seem to be in random or other order...
    Well ...

Try disabling JavaScript JIT. I’ve had this problem for years, so I decided to add one web-app at a time. It went well until I had to enable JavaScript JIT for TVshowtime. Then after restarting the phone, suddenly all my web apps disappeared. Now I use DuckDuckGo for that one webpage and all my other web apps stays after every reboot.
