Delete SMS one by one

Hello,

In the SMS application, I only found the possibility to delete a complete discussion. How can I select the messages to be deleted one by one in the same discussion ?

When I long click on a message, a trash can icon appears in the upper right corner. If you click it, you'll be asked if you want to delete the message.

as your default SMS app which will let you select multiple messages in the conversation for deletion and once you are done you can revert back to your regular Messaging.

Good idea. Surprising that you can't do it with the pre-installed app.

Sorry, but you are confusing the audience. Are you looking for an option to selectively delete messages or export them? Two different tasks/functionalities and you may need two different apps.

Sorry, I misspoke... I'll start again. What I meant was that to use the solution provided by SgtSurehand, you first have to export the SMS messages from the built-in app (then you can export them to the new application and select them), and this one doesn't let you do that.

user6174 That's not how Android works. Android has a single database for SMS and MMS messages, and multiple apps can be given access to the SMS database. It is possible for an app that is not the built-in app to access the database and delete messages.
