AR lags after a few seconds

Using the AR features, such as Amazon's "View in your room" or Maps's "Live view" works fine for a few seconds, a minute at most, but then the view starts lagging (the rest of the phone is okay).

Has anyone encountered this issue?

Aquathing I haven't tried the Amazon feature, but on my P9P running GOS, the Google Maps AR features do seem to bring my phone to its knees after a short time. IIRC, it continued to be slow until reboot (even after AR features were no longer in use) in at least one instance.

I assume it doesn't happen on stock P9P, since that would be strange, but I haven't done a comparison.

spammerofspam Somebody recently reported that OsmAnd runs faster if hardened malloc is disabled. That might be an interesting experiment to run.

de0u Interesting. I'll give that a shot next time I try the feature. I wonder, would Maps or AR Services need to be configured to use the standard allocator? Or both?

I'll play around with it next time it comes up.
