Hi everyone,
I recently switched from a Samsung device to a Pixel with GrapheneOS, and I've set up multiple user profiles to isolate different apps—Google in one, Meta apps in another, banking apps, and TikTok each in their own separate profiles. After spending a few hours setting everything up, I moved off Wi-Fi and onto my cellular network to do some scrolling on TikTok. I then switched to another user profile for Reddit, then another for Facebook/Instagram, and back to TikTok.
When I checked my data usage the next morning, I noticed I had used over 2GB just from scrolling through those apps. This seemed unusually high since my data usage has never been anywhere near this before. After another 1.5 hours of phone usage this morning, my total data usage had climbed to 3.6GB.
Has anyone else experienced similar data spikes with GrapheneOS? Could this be an issue with how the OS handles data across multiple user profiles? Or maybe something else in the setup I missed? It feels a bit suspicious, and I’m trying to figure out what’s going on. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
