Lose mobile data

Hi guys!
Could you help me out please...whenever I'm on mobile data and I make or receive a call, I totally lose Internet connection.
Do you guys have this problem?
I'm on a physical SIM and Pixel 8 Pro.
Been a long time GOS user and I'm not going back! 😁

Is the call 2G, 3G, or 4G? This should not be happening if the call is VoLTE/VoNR. But I think some carriers still require 2G for voice calls.

Which carrier in which country are you having this issue with?

This has always been the case for me as far as I can think of. No matter the phone, sim or OS. It always disconnected from mobile data while in a call, presumably since it uses the mobile data to do the calling.
So this is not specific to GOS.

Snibby to add, even some dualsim phones disables data when calling, even if one is for internet, other one is for calling, because they are not dual-standby!

de0u that's one thing that changed...whenever I put the 2G off I'm just unable to make or receive a call.
The call is a normal physical SIM call, the old kind 😁

I am not familiar with Vodafone, so hopefully people who are familiar can report whether 2G is necessary in Portugal for voice calls. But if it is currently required then calls may continue interrupting data until that changes.

de0u the thing is that it only started happening some 8 months ago, before that I always had 2G off.
Weird...
I'll probably do a reset in the future because the calls takes almost 30 secs to make, that is, after I press the call botton.
