kazingolock Yeah, I know recovery is sending a reset command to the secure element, causing it to wipe all keys and other user data stored there in a secure way. I was under the impression this would delete key material for the device encryption key too, but I am not so certain anymore. I have a vague recollection that I have seen the code for wiping the user data somewhere in the repositories. If GrapheneOS developers aren't responding, I may try to find it again. Maybe it will clarify the situation.
