GmsCompat is Showing Without Installation

Recently, about two weeks ago, GmsCompat icon began showing up in the notification bar across top of my Pixel 8a without none of the Google stuff being installed i.e. play services, play store, Gms compatibility layer, etc. What happened? I have two profiles setup. The main profile has no apps installed from the play store nor anything installed in regards to play services, play store, GmsCompatConfig. I do have those installed on the secondary profile but nothing apps or services going between the two. What did I do wrong?

SwordSearcher I found a post on Reddit that this is happening due to a Graphene OS update and draining batteries. That's how I started working on the problem - my battery is draining too fast. Uninstalling Google Play Services makes GMSCOMPAT go away. Somebody on Reddit said they resolved the issue by "disabling redirection" on Google Play Services. They didn't give the steps for that so I'm still looking at how to disable redirection.

Maybe the notification belongs to the second profile and shows in youw owner profile? Private space notificaions show in owner profile as well

It shows it's running when I swipe down from the top showing which apps are running in the background.

I have to force stop it from running but I change profiles or turn off airplane mode, it turns back on.

SwordSearcher Did you try uninstalling it from your main profile? If you can force stop an app, you are able to uninstall it (unless system restrictions).

Snibby I have everything associated with Google uninstalled and it will just start running.

WayneBGood It's not true and is misinformation where they're giving you very bad advice that's going to break things. It's not clear why you believe this is what's draining your battery. It is your apps, network, etc. draining your battery and if you've already made weird configuration changes those may be an issue too.
