Dutch Rabobank: Transaction without scanner

If anyone here is using Rabobank in NL, I need your help. Recently I got a notification about the possibility to set up transactions without the Rabo scanner, which requires you to scan your ID card/passport via NFC and facial scan.

Whenever I do this, I was told by the app to make sure the name on my ID and bank pass is the same, which the support team confirmed was the same.

Yet I still fail to set it up. I tried it on my partner's Samsung device and everything worked fine. I'm wondering if this is because of Graphene?

Do you have Google Play Services installed? I had the same issue for another bank (Triodos) without Google Play Services, but with GPS it worked fine. The Triodos app also allows you to log in on a new device with the app you installed (and logged in) on your old device. If that is possible for Rabobank you can use the Samsung for the initial log in and then 'copy' it to your Pixel.

Michiel Yep, I've had all 3 Google stuff installed from GOS app store. I've used Rabo app for years now and I am still using it. It's more about setting up the "bankieren zonder scanner" that it keeps giving me an error after scanning my ID. Are you using that feature btw?

aquila-enu Yes, I use it in the Triodos app. You can also tick the exploit protection compatibilty mode, and play with the other exploit protection settings to see if that helps.

Michiel Thanks. I tried enabling exploit protection but still didnt work. Would you mind sharing what permissions you give to play services (I presume not Play Store), and also to your triodos app?

I have ‘bankieren zonder Rabo Scanner’ running on my device, without play services. Exploit protection mode is disabled.
Just to let you know it works, not sure how I can help you.

lach Thanks for the confirmation. At least now I know it's not because of GOS. They did tell me to come by the office so they can help me further.
