I want to isolate Android Auto as much as possible to limit how much of my data is shared with my car manufacturer and every third-party in existence.
I only have Android Auto installed on 2 profiles (1 profile with Google maps, google assistant, etc and another profile with just privacy respecting navigation apps). Neither profile is allowed to run in the background. I try to use the privacy one but keep the other just in case.
Is there any possibility that my car can see data from any other profile? I get worried about the wired/wireless settings. Since Android Auto isn't installed on other profiles, can it even read the data?
And what data is shared if I connect by bluetooth without actually using Android auto?
Lastly, what's the most privacy respecting way to make/receive calls (both traditional calls and calls from signal/WhatsApp) while driving? I still want to be hands free for safety reasons.
