This afternoon an unusually butter-fingered yours truly twice visited a typosquatting site while trying to type youtube.com in my browser. I've forgotten the domains in question: something like yourtube, or youutube.
The sites loaded, but showed black screens. I recognized my mistake, clicked away.
I was using the Fennec browser from F-droid with no extensions. (Such as uBlock origin, which I should have thought of.) The phone is a Pixel 6 with an up-to-date Graphene OS.
In the past, I have resigned myself to an OS re-install if I think I could be at risk. But I'm not up to date on Android security risks, and will guess that inadvertent visits to typosquatting sites are common.
Any opinions? Am I likely at no risk, if I didn't download or (for that matter) see anything on the sites? Or is that OS reinstall not such a paranoid idea?
