New noob user with a new pixel 9 pro phone. Help.

Hello, I am a novice user and I have questions. I have purchased a Pixel 9 Pro that I will receive next Wednesday.

I am interested in using grapheneOS, but I have several questions and I would like to see if someone can help me.

1- If I install grapheneOS, do I lose Google's warranty if the phone has any physical damage? Is it possible to return to Google Android if you need to send the phone for repair?

2- For my work I need to use anti-privacy applications: WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Calendar and Outlook. I try to use open source apps focused on privacy whenever I can and in my personal, non-professional sphere I use, for example, tutamail and aegis, but I can't do without Google. I have read that with GrapheneOS I can "encapsulate" these applications so that they do not receive more information than necessary. Is this correct or am I misunderstanding it?

3- Will the camera work well with software other than Google?

4- Any other warnings to keep in mind?

Welcome to the forum! I think most of the users never regretted installing GOS as almost everything works. And you get great security and privacy.

I try to answer your questions:

That shouldn't be any problem. There are forum threads where people talk about it and didn't have any problem getting their phones with GOS installed repaired or replaced by Google.
You can install Sandboxed Google Play and install the apps via Play Store. If you want to keep your apps for work separated from your private apps you can use different profiles or Private Space as well. Most of the apps work, including WhatsApp, Gmail, Google Maps, Google Calendar and Outlook.
The camera works well. And if you want you can use Google camera as well (at least with an Pixel 7a).
Only apps or services that require the phone to meet device integrity of the Play Integrity API don't work with GOS. This applies mostly to banking apps. You can find a list of working banking apps here. Beside that I can't think about anything that could keep me away from GOS. It's by far the best Android I've ever used. And keep in mind that you can always revert back to stock OS, if you want.

Everything seems perfect except that I have several finance applications that might not work. In case they are not compatible with GrapheneOS, how could I return to Google's android? Restoring the phone with factory settings?
