Accrescent automatic updates not working?

Today I discovered I'm 3 updates behind on Molly-FOSS installed through Accrescent. I've checked that Accrescent allows automatic updates, so all good there. Anyone else have troubles with Accrescent updating apps or have ideas what the problem might be?

Molly have an auto update feature on its own

NetRunner88 Sure, I know that there are other ways I could set up Molly (via Obtainium would be another option, for example).

I just wanted to test Accrescent out, so this is why I went for that method.

For what it's worth, Molly isn't the only app that isn't updating via Accrescent. App Verifier also did not.

tilion_silverbow Accrescent doesn't seem to support direct boot, so unless you open the app after every restart and grant it unrestricted battery, it can not autoupdate apps, since it does not run.

DeletedUser127 Had not thought of that before. I don't think I've ever changed its battery settings. Will give that a shot.

Next to always on battery, the problem could be that you left the standard setting for automatic updates on "unmetered" in Accrescent. So if you're not on W-iFi, updates won't trigger.

N1b I did indeed have the updates set for unmetered only, but that was intentional (don't have a lot of data).

Still, it was weeks without an update, and I was definitely connected to WiFi during that time. Hoping it was just the battery issue.

Quite weird but at the same time understandable that Android does not start every app once in a while on its own.
